Jiggly Bitz Wins Pitch Live KIDS at Autumn Fair

Four minutes. One flagship dinosaur, an octopus, a pair of Highland cows, and a small carrot. On Tuesday, 8 September 2026, Elizabeth, aged 22, stood up at the NEC in Birmingham and spent those 4 minutes explaining why toys made in the UK by one family in a room full of printers deserve a place in a child's hand. Jiggly Bitz won Pitch Live KIDS in the Toy, Play, and Clothing category.

Her father, Bijan, sat alongside her and answered the judges' questions. It was our first Autumn Fair, and it came roughly 18 months after the first table of creatures we ever sold at a car boot sale. If you want the longer version of how we got here, that is our story.

Four Minutes on the Counter Talks Stage

The session took place on the Counter Talks Stage from 11 am to 11:30 am on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, and we pitched as the third of 3 finalists, from stand 6A52. The format was tight: a 4-minute live pitch with the product in hand, around 5 minutes of questions from the judges, then the winner announced live on stage.

Pitch Live KIDS runs in association with Retail Huddle and was hosted by Ami Rabheru, Retail Strategist and Founder of Retail Huddle. The judging panel was Joanne Barker, Founder of Hettie & Sid, and Roz Bridges, Seller Acquisition Manager at Argos. We name them as a matter of record, not as an endorsement of anything we sell.

The part that mattered most was the handover. Our creatures were passed across the counter at the start, and they were held, flexed, and rolled between fingers all the way through the questions. A fidget that has to be felt to be understood is difficult to describe in 4 minutes, so we let people feel it instead. The questions were practical, the room's reaction was warm, and our name was read out at the end. You can watch the pitch in full on our Facebook page.

From a Car Boot Sale to the NEC

We have been trading for around 18 months. It started with a car boot sale, then agricultural shows, music events, festivals, and market stalls across the country.

The point we made on stage was that we had not come to Autumn Fair asking retailers to take a punt on an untested idea. We arrived having already tested every one of our best sellers on real families, in the rain, on grass, with children queuing. The clearest signal we ever had was not a spreadsheet: it was children spotting the gazebo from across a field and running towards it, shouting our name. The win in September was the trade catching up with a decision our customers had already made.

What We Took on Stage

We took 4 pieces, chosen from our best-selling lines rather than our cleverest ones. The flagship dinosaur went first, because it is the piece that stops people mid-aisle. Then the octopus, with its 8 flexible arms, a pair of Highland cows that have followed us round every agricultural show we have done, and last, a small carrot character with a better story than its size suggests.

We now have over 600 product lines, so narrowing it to 4 took longer than writing the pitch. To browse the ranges those pieces came from, start with our 3D-printed dinosaur toys, our 3D-printed ocean creature fidgets, or our 3D-farm animals, where the cows live.

Print-in-Place Creatures That Arrive Ready to Play

Print-in-place means each creature comes off the printer already articulated. There is no glue, no assembly, and no parts to click together. The joints are printed as joints, so the dinosaur wiggles and the octopus arms curl the moment you take it out of the packaging. Nothing needs building, and there is nothing to lose down the back of the sofa.

Plant-Based, Non-Toxic, and UKCA Certified

Our creatures are printed in plant-based PLA derived from sugarcane and corn starch. The material is biodegradable and non-toxic, and our products are UKCA certified. One of the points we made on stage is that a parent picking one of these up is not buying another piece of plastic.

Everything is made in-house, including the packaging. The showpieces are slow work: the flagship dinosaur and the octopus each take around 2 weeks to print, with 2 printers running full time. That is the part of British toy-making that a product photo never shows.

Quick tip: Our creatures are suitable for ages 3 and up. Some items contain small parts, so adult supervision is advised.

Designed with Our Own Kids

The range is designed with our own children in mind, which is why it does not look like anything drawn up in a meeting. The small carrot that went on stage was their idea. They had seen other children in the playground with clicker fidgets, decided they wanted something different, and drew a carrot with a face.

It became one of those lines that sells quietly and constantly, and that is how it ended up in front of a trade judging panel at the NEC. Most of our newer concepts arrive the same way.

Collect, Repeat, and Play

Mystery boxes changed the way our customers talk to us. We introduced them at a Christmas show around 6 months ago, and the conversation at the stall shifted almost immediately. People stopped saying "it's a Jiggly Bit" and started asking, "What am I going to get next?"

We sum that up as collect, repeat, and play.

The idea is simple: You choose the world, we choose the creatures inside. Our mystery box toys are now on the site, alongside newer additions, including Jiggly Mix, our pick and mix concept, and mystery bags. If you would rather hand-pick every creature yourself, you can create your own bundle instead.

Why Toys Made in the UK Are Different

"British" on a toy listing can mean anything from "designed here" to "simply packed here." In our case, the design, printing, and packaging all happen in one place, by one family, on Bambu Lab printers; we maintain everything ourselves. Nothing is bought in and repackaged.

Here is what separates our range:

  • Print-in-place articulation, so every creature arrives moving with no assembly and no glue
  • Plant-based PLA derived from sugarcane and corn starch, biodegradable and non-toxic
  • UKCA certification on our products
  • Designed, printed, and packaged in-house in the UK
  • A range spanning dragons, dinosaurs, ocean creatures, farm animals, bugs, mythical beasts, and more

Dragons remain our most popular world, so our 3D-printed dragon toys are the usual first stop. For more background on how these creatures are made, we have written about why 3D-printed toys are taking over the toy box.

One Thing We Did Not Plan

A large part of our audience turned out to be neurodivergent and SEN families, found through markets and events rather than by setting out to reach them. Parents, carers, and teachers tell us they have not seen anything quite like it, and they buy for classrooms as well as for home. We design for tactile input and fidgeting, and we let families decide what works for their child. Bringing happiness one Jiggly Bit at a time is still the whole idea.
